Course summary

Evaluating using an online video platform can bring many benefits but it also presents challenges, which means that a different approach is required. This CPD course is designed for practitioners who wish to expand their knowledge to be able to carry out an Evaluation of Need (not a full diagnostic assessment) using an online video link. SASC accredited.

• Maintaining quality.

• Preparation before the assessment.

• Report writing.

• Recommendations for reasonable adjustments.

CPD Themes

Reflection on professional practice: knowledge and understanding of SpLD assessment methods including principles of psychometrics, and statistics.

Key differences in assessment via on-line video link: test materials, interpretation, and report writing.

Pre-requisites

Candidates must already hold: Level 7 in SpLD or Equivalent.

Course Materials

Delegates will be able to download electronic copies of the handouts, but will be responsible for printing off their own copies.

Delegates will be responsible for ensuring that they have suitable Wi-Fi, hardware and software to enable them to attend the training session.
