"Thank you for all the wonderful webcasts. Staff have really enjoyed watching them."

Mrs W, SENCo

"Hope the feedback is just as good elsewhere.  We told our staff several times it was the best training we had ever received on dyslexia.  (And I have been teaching 30 years!)"

"Every teacher is a teacher of SEN."

The new Code of Practice states that all teaching and support staff should be trained and have awareness of quality teaching for students with SEN.

Helen Arkell and Patoss, in association with The Dyslexia SpLD Trust have produced four webcasts.

The first is a 24 minute webcast containing valuable information on the definition of dyslexia together with some practical strategies for the classroom.

These webcasts and accompanying resources will support teachers and support staff in working with students with SEN.

These resources were produced through the Dyslexia SpLD Trust with funding from the Department for Education in collaboration with Patoss and Helen Arkell.

We are delighted to share some of the feedback we have had about our training:

"I would just like to say how beneficial it has been.  In particular we have had a new student to the school this year, and the advice in this training has enabled us to support her much more effectively and give staff clear strategies.  (To the extent the parents have expressed how happy their daughter is now at school because of the support given).  So, when you are looking for feedback, I thought this might be helpful!"

"Thanks again for the presentation and the resources on the site.  (We gave every teacher the Annex 6 and the indicators of dyslexia sheet to make sure they had it.)"
