We can arrange specialist tuition for dyslexic individuals of all ages.
Helen Arkell specialist teachers understand that each pupil is different, so they make the most of those differences. An individual multi sensory programme is created for each pupil using that pupil’s strengths and learning preferences to support areas of need.
Helen Arkell specialist teachers have trained in teaching both children and adults with specific learning difficulties. They also receive regular continuing professional development (CPD) and have access to, and the support of, the senior professional staff at Helen Arkell.
You will receive a report at the end of each term, which gives a valuable insight into your child’s progress.
Each of our specialist teachers has a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Many schools welcome Helen Arkell specialist teachers and ideally tuition takes place at school. This has to be arranged with the school by parents/guardians.
If this is not possible, or if the tuition is for an adult tuition can take place at Helen Arkell or sometimes at the specialist teacher’s home.
The day and time of lessons is arranged between the specialist teacher and parents/guardians/individual.

"I no longer need the help of the Helen Arkell centre. However it has made all the difference to my son's life.
My son had a Helen Arkell tutor. Not only were her teaching skills excellent but she provided me with support in battling the system for which he and I are forever thankful.
As a result he is on track to get the equivalent of a first at one of the world's top universities. He plans to do a Masters in Linguistics and finance himself by teaching English as a foreign language.
Not bad, but only done with JH's and your help."
"R was very pleased with her A level results, as were we. You were a great support to her during her time at school and much of her success is down to the strategies and help that you provided to her over the years, so thank you also once again for everything that you did for her."
