Daryl graduated with a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. She spent time working in marketing before deciding to follow a career in the law where, on qualification as a solicitor, she specialised in private client matters. Daryl then spent some years living overseas, principally in south east Asia, before returning to the UK, and to private client practice.
Daryl has worked with Stevens & Bolton LLP in Guildford since 2006, becoming a partner in 2011. Within the Personal Wealth and Families department she now leads the Probate & Estate Administration team and advises on estate and succession planning including wills, probate and estate administration; inheritance tax planning; trusts and trust administration; powers of attorney; and establishing charities. She deals with a wide range of private client matters including will drafting and lifetime planning; complex estate administration (often with international aspects); complex and extended families; and landed estates.
Welcoming the opportunity to get involved with a local charity, Daryl was delighted to join the board of trustees at Helen Arkell in 2012. Over the past few years she has learned a great deal about the charity, dyslexia, and learning differently. She has enjoyed working with the enthusiastic and committed team at Helen Arkell, and helping to shape the charity for the future.
Daryl lives in Surrey with her husband Sebastian and two teenage daughters, and she enjoys travel, running, and reading. She ran the London Marathon for Helen Arkell in 2015.
