Tim began his career as an accountant, and developed this through banking and finance to become an investor and managing director at 3i, the private equity firm, investing in a range of situations to support entrepreneurial growth plans, all the way to significant businesses in service sectors, and manufacturing.
He worked extensively across Europe and Nordic countries, partnering with management teams in businesses with high potential, and frequently requiring help in management, strategy and operations.
He currently chairs a recruitment business focused on UK private equity firms providing executives and chairmen for their investments. He also manages a private property portfolio, and lives locally with his wife Ruth, 3 daughters living in London.
He enjoys a range of country pursuits, tennis and sailing.
Tim has known of the Helen Arkell centre given its proximity in the village, but until recently not been aware of its exceptional services.
