Time: 10.00am - 12.30pm
Venue: Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre
Andy Salmon's alter ego 'Sir Linkalot' will be introducing primary aged children to the world of linking to help them with their spelling. His take on the use of mnemonics (aka 'links') has been described as groundbreaking by many dyslexia associations and he has a resounding endorsement from Ruth Miskin CBE (founder of the hugely successful phonics programme 'Read, Write Inc). As well as the two books he has on the market, he has recently launched a fantastic spelling app called 'Sir Linkalot' which can be downloaded from The App Store and Google Play.
To find out what it's all about, please take a look at the following clips.
As you can see, he is a one-off who is passionate about his subject. No one has done this before to the extent that he has and this is why 500+ schools (Primary & Secondary) have asked him to visit over the last 10 years. He conducted a high octane two hour presentation at the centre in March and everyone was blown away as he is extremely entertaining.
