Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autistic Spectrum Disorder are terms used to describe a range of Learning, Behavioural and Socialisation differences. 

The key to providing successful outcomes for individuals with ADHD and ASD will be a full understanding and acceptance of the needs of every child. 

Areas to be addressed in the session include:

  • ADHD and ASD demystified 
  • Girls and Boys and ADHD and ASD
  • Teaching and learning strategies  
  • Behaviour management options
  • Dealing with bullying and socialisation issues 
  • Consideration of the role of medication in learning and behaviour  
  • Effective communication with parents of children with ADHD and ASD

The presentation will outline a range of practical options for the successful teaching and learning of students with ADHD and ASD. 

Opportunities for problem solving a range of issues regarding children with ADHD and ASD will be discussed by utilizing both the expertise and experience of the course leader and of the delegates who attend the course.
