The Bookchat Roadshow is a free event created and hosted by the Book Activist. We are proud to support the Roadshow, having taken part at the event last year. We will see you again this year!

Helping parents and carers encourage their children's reading and creative writing for pleasure. 

 Flyer for the second Bookchat Roadshow, the brilliant non profit event open to all parents and carers across Sussex to help them support encourage their child's literacy.

As well as four award winning fantastic authors sharing their experiences, we have speakers from Scoop Magazine waiting to inspire the audience with ideas to support reading for pleasure and creative writing.  We also have fantastic support for goody bags from a range of children's publishers and the Schools and Public Library Service on hand to give advice. The Bookchat Roadshow is an event designed especially for parents and carers bringing together authors, industry experts and people passionate about children's reading and writing for pleasure.  With inspirational talks and an author panel bookchat, plus a selection of exhibitors, we give parents and carers a huge range of ideas to help them support their children. Find out how you can help and encourage your child to discover a lifelong love of reading for pleasure and creative writing.  As parents and carers, we often worry about our children's reading habits; join us for inspirational talks focusing on reading, writing and creativity through stories.   Award-winning authors will share their experiences, as well as industry experts who want to share their knowledge and advice to help you and your children! And best of all it's FREE!   

We want to help you engage with your school community and provide support and encouragement for parents and carers in the all important areas of reading and creative writing for pleasure.
