When: Sunday, 23 April 2017

Where: Central London, London

Distance: Marathon (26.2 miles)

Welcome and thank you to our Team Helen Arkell running the Virgin London Marathon 2017 to support dyslexia and learning.

Congratulations to all our runners who took part. Fantastic times and wonderful to see so many of you achieve your aspirations.

Our runners have raised over £7,000 - a fantastic amount for our Helen Arkell Bursary Fund!

The bursary fund will provide financial help for those in need of our services and is an integral part of our charity and what we offer.

Our bursary supports many children, such as these at Hollycombe Primary School:

"I am writing to express our heartfelt thanks for the bursaries which enabled two of our children to receive six sessions of specialist teacher support last term.

The children involved gained so much in terms of specific support but also of raised self-esteem and belief in themselves as learner.

For one girl, this has been transformational and she is on-track to achieve well in her end of Key Stage assessments, with support from the appropriate access arrangements.

Your help so far has been invaluable." Tamsin Austoni, Headteacher

Funds raised from the London Marathon are used to support children and adults by providing consultations, assessments, tuition and skills development to those who could otherwise not afford the help they need.

Every penny raised means we can do more to really make a difference to the lives of children and adults with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties.
