Evaluating needs using an online video platform can bring many benefits but it also presents challenges, which means that a different approach is required. 

This CPD course is designed for practitioners who wish to expand their knowledge to be able to carry out an Evaluation of Need (not a Full Diagnostic) using an online video link. 

SASC accredited.

We will explore:

• Key differences in assessment: assessing current needs.

• Selecting resources.

• Maintaining quality.

• Preparation before the assessment.

• Report writing.

• Recommendations for reasonable adjustments.

CPD Themes

Reflection on professional practice: knowledge and understanding of SpLD assessment methods including principles of psychometrics, and statistics.

Key differences in assessment via on-line video link: test materials, interpretation, and report writing.

Candidates must already hold: Level 7 in SpLD or Equivalent.
