Monday 23 October and Saturday 11 November
9.30 am - 3.30 pm
We know that many children continue to struggle with spelling and reading despite high quality phonics teaching. The missing link for many such students has been identified as the effective use of mental imagery in their learning.
Mental imagery is a natural skill we use in most areas of life and tends to be thought of as the domain of 'natural learners.' However, we now know this skill can be taught and developed by all and once mastered, can accelerate the progress made in all programmes and interventions currently being used.
This very practical two-day course shows you how to coach your struggling students or your own children to use their mental imagery more effectively so they can begin to experience success with spelling, reading, mental maths and many other areas of learning. It includes insights from neuro-science and an opportunity to share and discuss experiences after using the process between Days 1 and 2. You will come away with another skill to add to your ‘toolkit’ – one which we know can help many children achieve the success that has up to now eluded them.
