
The Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre held their annual graduation at the beautiful Farnham Castle, Surrey on Wednesday 15 March 2017.
50 educational professionals specialising in teaching, supporting and assessing learners with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties were invited to celebrate achieving their Level 5 and 7 qualifications.
Many of the students were from Surrey but the courses had also attracted students from Berkshire, East Sussex, Essex, Hampshire, Kent, London, Middlesex, West Sussex and Wiltshire.
Special Level 5 high attainment awards were made to Vicki Enticknap from Four Marks, Rachel Gordon from Salisbury and Fiona Parsons from Reigate. Awards were presented to Julia Tarrant from Twyford and Pippa Hooijberg from Worthing for significant achievement at Level 7. Emma Kelly from Oxted received the overall Essay Prize.
Speaking at the event, Bernadette McLean, Principal of Helen Arkell, said “Our graduates have demonstrated the high standards that Helen Arkell are known for and we congratulate them for their achievements. Over the course of their careers their skills will enable thousands of children and adults with dyslexia to make the most of their difference and talents.”
