Ewell Castle is a thriving, independent school located in leafy Ewell Village. The school is co-educational from Nursery to Sixth Form and enjoys small classes, averaging approximately fifteen pupils over the whole School. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic graduate as Senior School SENDCo to join a talented Learning Support department. An ability to teach pupils with Dyslexia is essential and previous experience teaching pupils with additional or special needs would be a benefit, in addition to the role of SENDCo the successful candidate would also have the opportunity to teach individual and group Learning Support lessons.
The Learning Support department is currently made up of 8 Learning Support Teachers and a committed team of experienced Learning Support Assistants. The department occupies its own floor with dedicated teaching rooms and resources and supports a number of pupils throughout the school with a range of learning support needs. The department has a trained ELSA onsite and a Learning Support Administrator.
The starting salary for this position will be in accordance with the Ewell Castle Pay Scales which currently track in excess of the maintained sector’s pay grades, and will reflect the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

Ewell Castle School offers the statutory induction process for NQTs which is managed by the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel (ISTip) and approved by the DfE. The School has a proven and successful record of working with teacher training institutions.
